Wellness routine for hair growth!
Growing your hair is no walk in the park, but with the right routine, you can unlock its fabulous potential. Start by ensuring your locks get enough moisture and avoid any unnecessary heat damage. This means investing in good quality products and keeping the hairdryer and flat irons in the drawer for most days of the week (typically only when hair is freshly washed).
Depending on what you are trying to achieve will dictate recommended trim rate. It's recommended you get a trim to keep split ends from traveling up the shaft of the hair. Hair is always growing but the health of the ends determines the HEALTHY length of the hair. But don't worry - this doesn't mean losing length! A light snip every 6-12 weeks will help keep split ends at bay and will encourage healthy regrowth from the root up.
Finally, make sure to massage your scalp regularly - either while washing or while applying conditioner. Not only does this feel incredibly relaxing, but it stimulates blood flow to the scalp, encouraging hair growth. It's also a great way to stimulate natural sebum production, the oils nat naturally come from your scalp. You may also apply nourishing oils or treatment serums to the scalp during massages, especially if your hair doesn't produce it on it own.
Lastly, don't underestimate moisture balance. This means using deep conditioners, and serums and/or applying a cream-based consistent moisturizer to ensure your hair is nourished. When styling make sure baby your ends. Remember, they are the oldest part of your hair!!
